WHAT IS DAVVI WIND FARM?

The planning area for Davvi wind farm is located in a mountainous region in Lebesby municipality and covers an area of approximately 63 square kilometers. The area is very barren and, according to Multiconsult's impact assessments, has low biodiversity of plants and animals combined with excellent wind resources.

Location

The plannned location for Davvi wind farm is situated on a mountain plateau in Lebesby municipality, near the border with Tana municipality, covering an area of approximately 63 square kilometers.

Terrain

The area where the park is planned mainly consists of boulders. This is a natural avoidance area for reindeer.

Environmental impact assessment

The planned area is very barren and, according to Multiconsult's impact assessments, has low biodiversity of plants and animals combined with excellent wind resources.

Open project development

We emphasize open project development with active communication with local residents and close collaboration with local authorities and property owners. Proximity to people and the environment is important to us.

Wind resources

With Finnmark's fantastic wind resources, the region could attract many large industrial projects, thus creating opportunities for new jobs and growth.

Permit

The permit applicant for Davvi wind farm is Grenselandet DA. Grenselandet is owned by the energy companies St1 and Ny Energi, with St1 being the majority owner.

The permit application with assessments was submitted by the initiator to the NVE in November 2019. The application is currently under review by the NVE.
