The planning area for the Davvi wind farm is located on a plateau in the municipality of Lebesby, near the border with Tana municipality, covering an area of approximately 63 km2. The planning area is very barren and, according to Multiconsult's impact assessments, has a low biodiversity of plants and animals, combined with excellent wind resources.
